Officially a Big Sister

Today Abbie officially became a big sister.  It's a good thing, too.  As she was going to bed last night, she said to me, "That baby better come out tonight, or I'm going to reach in there and pull her out!"  Yikes!

Of course, I think she has already started to see that being a big sister isn't all fun and games.  She came to visit me in the hospital twice today - once in the morning and once in the afternoon.  Both times she ended up crying at the idea of having to leave me.  This afternoon she said, "I wish baby sister hadn't come, so that you wouldn't have to stay here."  Oh dear.  I expect to be going home tomorrow morning, so we won't have to deal with this much more, but I'm sure that this is just one symptom of the struggles yet to come.

That being said, Abbie is very excited to help with her sister, hold her sister, pet her head, etc., so I'm sure we'll find a routine that works for us.
