Holiday Season
The holidays are upon us and Abbie's school has been having lots of little celebrations. Above is a picture from their Thanksgiving feast, which the parents were invited to attend. Each family was able to sign up to bring an item for the feast. We chose to bring dessert, perhaps the easiest thing to bring. :) I was able to stop in for the feast, which made Abbie pretty happy. Here she is eating with Alexandra (see previous posts). This Friday, Chad and I are both going to school for the Holiday Party. There is going to be a gift exchange amongst the kids and I get the impression that they are planning to surprise the parents with a concert. Abbie has been singing a lot of Christmas songs lately, which has lead me to believe that they are secretly holding rehearsals everyday. Aside from enjoying the holidays, Abbie has been busy strengthening her powers of logic and persuasion. She is getting pretty good at making arguments that we can't refute, or saying things that she knows will get us to agree to whatever it is that she wants. The other day in the car with Chad, she said she was bored. Of course, Chad knew that this was a ploy to get his iPhone from him so that she could watch a Dora video. However, he decided to outsmart her. He replied, "We could talk about something. Then you wouldn't be bored." Of course, his brilliant strategy didn't work at all, as she replied, "It's conversation with you that made me bored!" Checkmate. No getting out of that one. :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for updating the blog again! Of course I loved the "bored conversation" story, just brilliant! The photo is great and Shana you look awesome! Happy Holidays to all of you! We are tentatively planning to drive down to San Diego while we are in Palm Springs in February, hoping that might work out for all!
She obviously inherited her father's personality and your looks Shana. ;}
