Fall activities
Abbie went on her first ever field trip a few weeks ago and Chad went as one of the chaperones. The whole class went to the apple orchard and each student was allowed to pick four apples to take home with them. In the picture below, Abbie is the fifth from the right. When they go on field trips all the students have to wear the tie-dyed shirts that they made during the first few weeks of school as a way to help the teachers keep track of everybody.
Excitement from this past weekend - we have finally converted Abbie's crib into a big girl bed. She is really excited about it. At night she likes to practice her new-found freedom by going to the bathroom at least four separate times before she actually falls asleep. However, in the mornings, the routine is still the same. She will lay there and call of us, but she won't get up on her own. This morning, I told her that she could get up on her own and that if it was too early we would just send her back to bed.
Also interesting - Abbie's conversational abilities and use of logic continue to shock us. To make conversation at dinner last night, she asked me, "Mama, why did you decide to become a Mama?" Too funny.

Abbie was pretty serious about that first photo - very funny. All 3 photos are cute as can be. Love the big girl bed story and I always share her quotes with friends; much to their delight. She sparkles in every way!!
