Cuddle Time

Abbie has been doing a great job being a big sister.  It is starting to take its toll, though, and lately she has started asking for cuddle time from me.  The other morning she said, "I want to cuddle for 18 hours."  I said, "That would be from the time you get up in the morning, through the whole day, past dinner, until midnight."  She said, "OK, that sounds good."  Of course, in the times when I do try to cuddle with her, she doesn't sit still long enough for us to actually cuddle.  She's always jumping up to get a book, or a blanket, or a pillow.

Of course, I have spent so much time cuddling with Emily lately, so now when I cuddle with Abbie she feels HUGE to me.  I used to think she was so small, but in comparison to Emily, she might as well be an adult.

More Abbie news:

She had been asking us for a long time to find a swimming class for her.  We finally did and it meets on Saturday and Sunday mornings for a month.  She loves it.  It is in an outdoor pool and the water is so incredibly warm and clean.  She likes her teacher and so far it has been going well.

Now the big item on the agenda is to decide how to celebrate her 4th birthday which is just under a month away.  I think we are leaning towards having something at our house (as opposed to at a park or something).  Now we just need to decide who to invite and what to have for food and entertainment.  We don't really want to invite her entire preschool class, but being selective probably isn't the nice thing to do.  As for entertainment, we are considering renting a bouncy house, or setting up a sprinkler.  Hmmm.

Abbie does appear to have grown alot these past few months! The cuddle time is sweet, good to be so loved!

I don't know how you two find time for swimming lessons and a birthday party with Emily on the scene!

I'd opt for the bouncy house, you won't have to deal with wet children and changing clothes???

Abbie sure looks like Sammy in the photo posted today!! Still changing as she grows.

Thinking of all of you, wishing I could share in the joy!

Jane
