Summer!

Abbie is already enjoying a much-deserved summer break! The end of the semester was incredibly hectic, but she managed to get moved out of her old apartment without any help from us. Next year, she will share a house with five other people. There is a gap between the old lease and the new lease, so some of her stuff came home, some went into a storage unit, and some went to Alden's place for the summer.

She was able to take a few days at home, but then dashed off for a two-week vacation in France and Germany. Alden is in Paris for a summer class, so part of the time will be spent with him, part with Chad and Sarah (who are there on vacation), and part with Clara, the German exchange student we hosted a couple of years ago.

Enjoying Paris

Although the trip to France was exhausting, I think she is enjoying it so far. I told her that she and Alden look very Parisian in the photo above. :) She returns from her trip on June 1, spends about a week with me, and then heads to DC for her summer internship. Busy, busy.
