Better late than never

It has been a long time since I posted for Abbie, but if I make this one twice as long, maybe that will make up for it! The bottom line is that her year is going well. She is busy with a ton of stuff, but seems to be managing it all very well. As for classes, she dropped her Bob Dylan class and replaced it with an English class - John Milton: Radical Thought Then and Now. She has really been enjoying it.

She has pretty well gotten her apartment squared away. Although it is already time to decide on a place for next year. She has signed a lease for a six-bedroom house for next fall. It is closer to campus, and she will have some housemates to keep things interesting.

Fall break already came and went. She and some friends took a weekend girls' trip to Austin and had a good time. She finally sent me some photos of herself. Before that, I asked her for photos, and I received the random assortment you see above and below. LOL. They were not exactly what I expected to receive when I said, "Send me some photos." Apparently, she was short on photos of herself up until the Austin trip.

She also made a quick trip home a few weeks ago. Given that she will be in Minneapolis for Thanksgiving, she realized that if she didn't come home, it would be a very long time between visits. Unfortunately, it was a teaching weekend for me, but that gave her some sister time with Emily.

She is still dating Alden and I think they are doing well. She did send me a photo of the two of them, but she told me I couldn't post it because she didn't like what she was wearing. Pfft.
