Sophomore Year

Abbie drove back to school on the 22nd, leaving early in the morning to avoid traffic as much as possible. She took the weekend to clean her apartment, unpack, get groceries, and do all the other adult things. Given that she is now living off campus and has convenient parking, she took the car with her, which will make weekly shopping that much easier.
Her classes started on the 25th, so she is already immersed in her Sophomore year. This fall, the lineup includes Intro to Statistics, Cognitive Neuroscience, Memory, Bob Dylan, and Intro to Engineering Computation. She has a pretty good schedule, with most classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is a little too early to tell which classes she will end up liking/not liking, but it seems like it is going to be a far more manageable semester than the two she dealt with last year. Also, she has Alden in one of her classes, so I'm sure that will make it more fun.
She and Alden are also going to start training for a half-marathon that she plans to run with Aunt Elizabeth in November, so that will be fun, too. With the benefit of a car, she was also able to pick up a small part-time job. She picks up a middle schooler on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons and gives her a ride from school to home. It requires a minimal time commitment and is an easy way to earn some spending money.
Overall, it sounds like it is going to be a good semester!
