Happy New Year!
Cookies! |
We have had a good holiday season, but like everybody on the planet, we are happy to see 2020 disappear! Before it does, though, I will give a brief update on what we have been up to for the past month. We have done all of the usual holiday activities, including decorating Christmas cookies and looking at Christmas lights. The girls were not able to do the usual holiday caroling, but they did manage to have a Zoom holiday concert for a few select guests. Other than a little snafu with the accompaniment in the beginning, I got a good video of Abbie's solo performance:
Abbie has enjoyed the break from school and has been using the time to set up a new business venture - selling earrings and eye shadow palettes via a website. She expects to launch in February, so she has been busy with marketing and all the other aspects of running a business. I have her working on a break-even analysis as we speak. I'm not sure whether that is an upside or a downside of having accountants as parents. LOL.
Christmas Eve! |
As for Christmas itself, I think that Abbie had a nice holiday. There was plenty of relaxing, watching movies, and working on puzzles. Despite the classic teenage look on her face, I think that Abbie was actually pretty happy to score some Schitt's Creek merch, new books, clothes, a record player, and some AirPods, among other things.
Christmas Day! |
As for other activities, we are looking forward to our standard New Year's Eve celebration - dinner of hash browns and king crab legs, followed by a family movie. See you in 2021!!
