First day of Junior Kindergarten
Here is Abbie all dressed up and ready to go to school this morning. She was pretty excited, but we had to wake her up earlier than she is used to this morning, so I suspect that she will be pretty exhausted tonight.
Here she is with her teacher, Mrs. Butler, who is really great - energetic, loving, well-educated, and totally fun. She has been teaching since 1976 (before I was born) and has taught in the US, Japan and S. Korea, which is really cool.
Here are some of the kids just as the class was starting. You can see Mrs. Butler, and her aide, Miss Ashton in the background. There are 16 kids per class. They have Spanish classes 5 days per week, P.E. twice a week, music class twice a week, and movement, technology, drama, and library classes each once a week. We are definitely looking forward to seeing how much she will learn!

Wow! I can't believe they have them in Spanish already. I guess it's easier to learn languages when you are younger. And drama-- LOL. Like parents need more drama from their 4-year-olds!
Looks like a great school!
She looks so grown up in the top photo and so delicate in the bottom one! The teacher looks and sounds awesome! I should be there and learn a few things myself! I don't think Abbie needs a class in movement but if all else fails she can lead.
Love the photos, and love your comments Shana!! Thanks.
