Holiday Season
Abbie was pleased to find that Santa was able to fill both her request for a scooter and her request for a telescope. She has been able to use both gifts somewhat, but it will be alot easier when the weather starts to warm up a bit.
For New Year's Eve, we continued our tradition of building a giant bed on the living room floor, using couch cushions and pillows, so that we can all curl up and watch a movie together. This year's movie was a Japanese anime film, My Neighbor Totoro, about two sisters who are able to see magical creatures that most people can't see. Emily found parts of it a bit scary (which they really weren't), but both girls liked it, and I liked the fact that it was something different.
After a two week holiday break, it was tough for all of us to settle back into our old routine, but I think that we are finally getting the hang of it. Abbie's violin lessons continue, and next week her sports classes at school start up again. This time, it is just tennis, yoga, and sports specific training, I believe.
