Halloween!

This year Abbie was Dragon Clara for Halloween. Those of you who are regular blog readers will likely remember the Dragon Clara stories that frequently get told at bedtime. Of course, the teachers at school had no clue who Dragon Clara was and Abbie was getting tired of saying that she was Dragon Clara and getting a blank stare in response, so I asked Chad to explain it to them.

Abbie and the kids in her class got to wear their Halloween costumes to school on Tuesday and Wednesday last week. The teachers dressed up as the three little kittens who lost their mittens. Cute!

Abbie was pretty funny about the trick-or-treating this year. She wasn't as jacked up as she was last year. Before we were even done, she declared, "I'm done. Let's go home." "You're done?" we said. "Yeah, I've got all I need. I'm done." Great! On such a cold night, it was music to my ears.

Above, are pictures of Abbie after the actual trick-or-treating. In the first picture, she is checking out her stash. In the second picture, she is munching on candy. I think it sums up the night pretty well - messy face, runny nose from the cold air, and eyes that reveal a kid on a sugar high.
