All creatures . . .

We had friends with a Great Dane puppy visit us this past weekend. The contrast between Baloo, the puppy (will be 1 year old in August), and Abbie was too cool. Abbie had lots of fun petting Baloo and watching her play with the neighborhood dogs. Of course, Baloo is a totally gentle giant and did just great with Abbie. As for the rest of us we just liked hearing Abbie say "Baloo" because it comes out as "BaLOOOOOO". Pretty cute!

Summer

Summer is officially in full swing and we are thrilled. Here is Abbie showing off one of the new chairs that we purchased (along with a table) for our soon-to-be-built patio. Of course, she is all about climbing into the chair all by herself (or all by own, as she says). This goes for lots of other chairs, as well. She now climbs up into her car seat "all by own".


What summer would be complete without visits to the pool? Swimming lessons started today, but it was only a high of 67 degrees, so Abbie and Tess decided to wait until tomorrow to attend class. At least tomorrow will be in the mid-seventies.
Other than that, not much going on. Abbie's vocabulary is really great and the best game of all is just waiting to see what she'll say next. Some of her most entertaining phrases lately have been, "Oh my goodness!" and "That's a bummer!"
