Merry Christmas!

We gave Abbie a giant teddy bear for Christmas that is very soft and has nice long arms that she can wrap around herself. She has been pretty excited about it and likes to have us drag it around for her so that it can eat lunch with her, play in her room with her, and read books with her.

Santa gave Abbie a kitchen and she is absolutely thrilled. She has thanked him about 500 times already. It is pretty cute and has a stove, oven, fridge, sink, microwave, and cupboards. The microwave actually beeps and the stove makes boiling and frying noises. She has been cooking up a storm ever since she discovered it this morning.

Abbie helped Daddy decorate cookies this afternoon. He would frost them and then pass them to her to add the sprinkles. She pretty much dumped rather than sprinkled and we went through two full bottles of sprinkles while decorating about 2 dozen cookies.

Loving Spaghetti a Little too Much?

These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago when Abbie and I had pasta together. As you can see, she really enjoyed it. No kidding, she easily ate as much as I did. I knew pasta could be messy, but I wondered whether it was really worth taking her clothes off for. How bad could it really be, right? I was so glad that I decided to strip her down before she ate. When she was done I basically had to dump her in the sink to clean her up.

Checking to be sure that the Buddha belly is full. As you can see, it is.
Chad, Abbie and I had pasta again last night, this time, spaghetti. Turns out that Abbie already know how to slurp long spaghetti noodles into her mouth and she thinks it is pretty funny. Again, she ate as much as I did - two whole meatballs and tons of noodles. Daddy also did lots of noodle slurping for Abbie's entertainment and she was laughing pretty hard.

Winter Activities

Now that winter is definitely here, here's what we've been up to over the past few weeks.

Playing in the sink. Obviously hours of fun.

Mommy and Daddy like to have Irish Coffees on the weekends, which means that we are always making fresh whipped cream. Abbie gets very excited about being able to help with this process and has really taken to licking the beaters and eating the whipped cream, which is full of powdered sugar and vanilla extract - Yum!

We have gotten a lot of snow so far this season and Chad decided to take Abbie out to build a snowman. We got her all bundled up and she promptly fell flat on her back (not able to bend or move very well, of course) and had to lay on the floor for a minute because Chad and I were laughing too hard to pick her up. Nonetheless, she liked the adventure and is still "talking" about it.
