Abbie's first cereal

Abbie had her first taste of rice cereal on Saturday and she loved it. She looked at us like, "What took you so long? I've been waiting four months for this." She was just thrilled, opening her mouth and sqwaking at us to give her more. The next day Chad was eating his cereal in front of her and she watched him so intently with a look on her face like she couldn't understand why he wasn't sharing it with her. Since then we've been feeding her a little bit of rice cereal twice a day. The novelty has worn off a bit, but in general she still seems to enjoy the process.

Haven't had a chance to chat with you guys for a while. I know I said I would never look at your Blog, but it seemed like a novel way to say "hi". Hi!

Now for the scolding. Imagine my surprise when I log on and see you are feeding Abbie something you call "rice cereal". Everybody knows that Cheerio's are babies first food. Who are you to up and feed your baby "rice cereal"? Might as well just feed her donuts.

By the way, I am sorry to report that our mutual acquaintance, David Emmel, has left the General. In a devastating blow to our finance community, he has returned to the Federal Reserve.

Hope all is well with you. Is baby drinking wine yet? Speaking of wine, had a great bottle of Cabernet Franc on Friday. Had never had it all by itself before. It was a 97 and I was surprised at how similar it was to a Barolo.

Drop a line when you get a chance.
