One Month Old

Abbie turned one month old on Friday and yesterday we had her one month check-up with the doctor. She is doing great and is growing really well. She is up to 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 21 inches in length. Above are adorable pictures of her lounging with Daddy and with grandma.

Rolling over

Yesterday Abbie surprised us by rolling from her stomach to her back. Chad had her lying on her activity mat and she used her little legs to push her butt over and the rest of her body followed. We were so impressed that we kept putting her back on her stomach just to make sure that it wasn't a fluke. Every time we put her on her stomach she thrilled us by rolling herself onto her back. We were even able to capture it with the video camera so that we would have proof of her feats.

Favorite Activity

As requested, we are posting more photos. Unfortunately, Abbie's agenda for the day was 1) breastfeeding, 2) pooping/peeing and 3) sleeping. Since this is a family site, we chose to take pictures of the third activity.

Getting to know Abigail

We have had so much fun getting to know Abbie over the past week or so. She is such a good baby and has such a sweet personality. When she is awake and calm she is so much fun to watch. Both Chad and I have seen her mimicking our facial expressions, which is really cute. In addition, she loves to look out the window at the trees. She also seems to really like her bedroom. The pink seems to really calm her and she loves to just look around at the walls as we rock her. She seems to have us both wrapped around her finger and has done a really good job of training us. It seems that we are putting her down less and less. She loves to be held and to be walked around. Even when she is sleeping she is often either in the crook of our arm or laying on my chest. They say you can't spoil a newborn, but if you could, we would be well on our way.
